Presenter Biography

Deb Dempsey is beginning her 16th year as the Coordinator of the Kane County Regional Office of Education, Equal Chance Program, a McKinney/Vento funded initiative. She is an ISBE approved presenter, to present the Administrator Academy, Recognizing Homeless Students, What Every Administrator Needs to Know and has presented this academy monthly over the past nine years. Over and above that, she has presented at numerous local, state, and national conferences. She routinely presents McKinney/Vento workshops to administrators, all school staff and community agencies in all nine Kane County school districts. Deb has worked with Homeless Education since 1995, has received numerous awards for her work and is credited with starting Project Access, School District U-46‘s national and local award winning Homeless Education Program.
