Presenter Biography

Sharon Rak is a former middle school math teacher from Willow Springs Illinois. She provides professional development and math coaching for several school districts throughout the state. She has helped develop training modules in mathematics for the Illinois State Board of Education. She was a member of the ISBE Common Core Resource Project and she has been a part of the EQuIP (Educators Evaluating the Quality of Instructional Products) team. She is also an item reviewer for PARCC/IAR. Her work is always based on the belief that quality teacher instruction is the most important school-based factor in student achievement.
