Garrett is the Professional Development & Instructional Specialist at South Cook ISC. He uses best practices to consult, implement, and provide professional learning support to enhance social & emotional learning. In addition, he is using the adult and student social & emotional learning competencies to improve a school’s climate and culture. Garrett has consulted schools on a variety of topics including trauma informed lens, differentiation, engaged learning, Illinois Social Science Standards, improving levels of questioning, assessing learning using technology, and systems of balanced assessments. As a previous Curriculum and Instructional Coach, he supports teachers and schools with instructional strategies to improve teacher and student achievement.
