Presenter Biography
Matt has a Bachelor’s in Biology (Grinnell College) and a Master’s in Education Administration (McKendree University). He’s taught 7th-grade science and ELA, been a junior high Assistant Principal, a K-8 Technology Integration Specialist, and is currently the Director of Innovation and Technology for the 13 counties in Illinois’ Area 5. He manages TeachIllinois.com, an online PD platform and organizes the annual Directions Conference. His passions include making things, reading, the outdoors, and plants (plus whatever is catching his interest at the moment). Motto: Create with passion.
