Presenter Biography

Heather Sunny has worked for the ROE for the past 5 years as a Service Provider for Math Foundational Services in ROE #21. She has been trained in K-12 math, presented on Common Core Math, PARCC, Evidence Tables, Implementation Guides, Illinois Math Model Curriculum, and K-5 Shift Kits. Heather received training from state area coordinators in Springfield. She has provided numerous regional trainings for administrators and has taken this knowledge into the classroom as a fifth grade teacher and has shared it at numerous presentations. The ROE work has also led to helping individual school districts look at their PARCC scores and find ways to increase their student achievement. Heather Sunny is also on Herrin’s School & District Improvement Team, Fifth grade teacher, & Instructional Coach.
