AA3733: McKinney-Vento Homeless Act: Advanced Training

This is a two (2) part Administrator Academy that requires attendance for both zoom meetings. The meeting times are:
March 3, 2020: 1:00 – 2:00 pm
April 21, 2021: 1:00 – 3:00 pm
This Administrator Academy will provide Administrators, McKinney-Vento Homeless Liaisons and other staff the knowledge and tools to provide additional support and resources for homeless students in their Local Educational Agencies (LEA). There will be a general overview of the specifics of the McKinney-Vento Homeless Liaison. Participants are required to evaluate their current procedures in their district and complete a project that is a synthesis of their knowledge of the McKinney-Vento Act that will improve their support of homeless students and their families within their school district community.
The presenter-team will be available for indirect instruction, guidance, and assistance as needed, also.
**This AA will require two (2) synchronous/live Zoom sessions regarding McKinney-Vento review and project selection. Participants will also be required to utilize an additional three (3) hour of independent worktime for project completions/Dissemination Form**
