AA2000: Illinois Performance Evaluation – Initial Principal Evaluation Training

AA2000 is designated as the two-day course required for Initial Principal Evaluators (this is not the retraining course for Principal Evaluators). AA2000 will cover all aspects of principal evaluations, including professional practice and student growth data. This AA requires pre-work to be completed prior to the first day the course meets. Participants must attend both days of the course and complete the required Application for Dissemination for each day to receive credit for AA2000.

Starting 1/01/2021, successful completion of the two-day AA2000 course will be the only avenue for an educator to become initially certified as a Principal Evaluator. This two-day AA is worth one AA credit.

August 3, 2021- AA3000, Student Growth, 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

August 4, 2021- AA1865, Professional Practice, 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

    Asynchronous Academy - The focus will be on the process of creating and delivering effective presentations. Participants will learn a replicable process for taking complicated information and presenting to staff and key stakeholders in a relevant and memorable format. They will also develop the ability to identify the principles that underlie powerful presentations. The course will be divided into 5 segments: storytelling, story boarding, sharpening the design, shaping with technology and selling the presentation. New skills and design knowledge will enhance the ability to tell stories and impart essential information in an efficient manner. Participants of an online Administrator Academy must have all requirements completed by June 15, 2021, allowing time for review and processing with ISBE, in order for them to receive their annual Administrator Academy credit for the 2020-2021 school year. All academies completed after June 15, 2021 will be awarded to the following 2021-2022 school year.
