AA 1843: Identification, Evaluation and Interventions for Students with ADD/ADHD

In this interactive course, we will examine the characteristics of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), analyze a school district’s child find and evaluation obligations, and study the requirements for eligibility and a Free Appropriate Public Education under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. We will discuss Senate Bill 100 and behavior interventions for students with ADHD/ADD, placement in the Least Restrictive Environment, and medication and health issues.
