AA #1616 Social Media and School Law Updates

In this academy course, Brandon K. Wright of Miller, Tracy, Braun, Funk & Miller, Ltd. will guide you through the major topics in school law, with an emphasis on social media and data privacy issues, along with special education and Section 504.  This course includes a detailed review of the laws and regulations relating to use of social media and similar technology in schools, with a specific focus on the implications and use of social media by staff and students during school and personal time, including a review of the relevant laws and regulations, case law, and current legal disputes relevant to those issues.  The course will also look at other trends in school law related to personnel, student discipline, new legislation, and YOUR QUESTIONS.
