CANCELLED #11995 Compliance an Administrator’s Guide to the Fundamentals of Health, Life, Safety

The primary goal is to involve administrative, architectural, and facility leaders in a day of receiving common guidance/understanding, and collaboration surrounding the topics involved. The purpose of this course will be to provide administrators with an in depth overview of the topics related to the Health Life Safety and Compliance processes. Included in this workshop will be an overview of the 10-year Health Life Safety process, the forms used in the process, how to finance projects using HLS funds, and the required approval process including the use of the ISBE IWAS HLS portal. In addition, participants will be exposed to the ROE annual compliance visit requirements and process, school maintenance grants, and the upcoming school construction grant process. Participants will also discuss the role of the district architect in the HLS process. Time will also be provided for local district maintenance directors and head custodians to meet to facilitate communication opportunities for these people. A communication portal for these key individuals will also be introduced.
